We at Cicada believe that your personal taste says a lot about you - and we want to help you say something positive and impactful. We all have the power to make the world a better place, and nothing says we can’t do it in style. Draw attention to a global or social issue with eye-catching, unique, and comfortable dress socks suitable for all looks and occasions. And once you have their attention, let them know that these socks also walk it like they talk it. Each pair sold results in $1 given to a non-profit organization supporting a related and relevant cause. Look good, do better.

HOW WE DO IT

Our design process starts with finding vital issues that affect the way we live and the health of our planet. From there, we design around a few distinct, iconic images that help the issue come to life. Of course, our designs won’t tell the whole story - between your shoes and your pants, people will only catch a glimpse or a tease of the larger design - but we see that as the point. We’re all not seeing the bigger picture, but small actions can still have big results.

We try to embolden each design with rich colors and complex gradients, because these stories need to be told loudly, proudly, and openly. They don’t blend into a look, they define it.

OUR NAME

The cicada is a bug that can be as small as two inches but has a voice that can resonate for miles. We draw inspiration from the mighty cicada - believing a few small but impassioned voices can rise up and make a huge impact.
